BASIC INTRODUCTION TO THE AUTHOR
My name is Miroslav Palfi and I was born in 1976. Although I have not lived in the town for several years, I still have family ties here and, above all, a strong affection for my hometown. At first, I wrote about it on Wikipedia and on the website Krušnohorec.cz. Later, however, I came to believe that the town deserves to be presented as a whole, not merely as a kind of appendage to the spa. These pages are not connected with the town hall, the spa, or the mines and do not represent any official institution — they are simply my private project, created for my own enjoyment and out of a personal connection to this place. I am pleased if they help a wider public learn about the importance and history of Jáchymov. You are now looking at the ongoing result of my efforts.
